Louis Philippe Albert d’Orléans, ältester Sohn von Ferdinand Philippe d’Orléans und Enkel des letzten französischen Königs Louis Philippe, wär Prätendent auf den frz. Thron und galt für die Anhänger des Hauses Orléans-Bourbon als rechtmäßiger Nachfolger König Louis Philippes als Philippe VII. 1886 wurde er aus Frankreich ausgewiesen und zog nach England, wo er bis zu seinem Tod lebte. Enthält u.a. Briefe aus Washington, Paris und England mit Berichten über die dortigen politischen Verhältnisse, den frühen Parlamentarismus, Wahlen, der Zusammensetzung der Parlamente etc. – Dabei: Speech of Hon. Louis Philippe Albert d’Orléans, eldest son of Ferdinand Philippe d’Orléans and grandson of the last French King Louis Philippe, was pretender to the French throne and was regarded by the supporters of the House of Orléans-Bourbon as the rightful successor to King Louis Philippe as Philippe VII.
