Seltene Basler Musik-Inkunabel von 1488

Sehr seltenes Baseler Graduale, eines von nur 8 bekannten Exemplaren (3 davon unvollständig); a-n8 o10 p6 q-y8 a-b8 c6 a-c8. Es fehlen die beiden nicht nummerierten Vorblätter (1 Bl. mit Register und ein weißes), Blatt b6 (handschriftlich auf drei eingebundenen Blättern ersetzt eingebunden) und die Blätter d-e8 und f10 am Schluss sowie die weißen Blätter, (gez.j-clxxiiii (174). Zu Beginn eine Fleuronné-Initiale (Buchstabenkörper rot-blau gespalten, Maiglöckchenfüllung, Ranken), dieses Blatt etwas stärker fingerfleckig und unten etwas verstärkt. Blatt bii mit handschriftlich ergänztem Ausriss, gj etwas eingerissen, oiiii etwas beschädigt, b6 fehlt und ist durch alte Abschrift auf 3 Blättern ersetzt. Insgesamt gut erhalten, vereinzelt am Rand fingerfleckig und selten mit alten handschriftlichen Annotationen. Angebunden ist ein Inhaltsverzeichnis von alter Hand. Print in red and black, 8 lines stave, 8×4 red lines, double and single frame lines on black notes, Cantus fractus in Hufnagel notation with 5 two-tone illuminated initials. Folio. Very rare Basel gradual, one out of only 8 known copies (three of which are incomplete); a-n8 o10 p6 q-y8 a-b8 c6 a-c8. The first two unnumbered leaves (1 leaf with index and a blank), leaf b6 (the original leaves have been replaced by three rebound handwritten ones) and leaves d-e8 and f10 at the end plus the blanks (gez.j-clxxiiii (174) are missing. Fleuron initial at the beginning of the work (letter body split in red and blue, ornamentally decorated with lily of the valley and shoots), slightly more stains on this leaf, reinforced at the bottom. On leaf bii, a missing piece was supplied by hand, leaf gj is slightly torn, oiiii slightly damaged, leaf b6 is missing and was replaced by an old copy on 3 leaves. Overall in good condition, occasional stains on the margins, few old handwritten annotations. Added table of contents in old hand.
